Summary

Goal
The reducing of the risk of recidive, the maintaing or reestablishment of the relationship with the family and social adjacent systems for young persons who committed acts punished by the penal law.

The target group
The indirect beneficiary of the Project are a number of 30 families, the parents, brothers and the relatives of the persons that are in detention and the direct beneficiary of the project is a group of 30 young persons with ages in between 22-30 that have committed the following kinds of crimes: burglary, fraud. The period for the execution of the punishment is less than a year, and the location of the parents is in the area of the Cluj-Bistrita County.

In order to achieve the proposed goals we will carry out the following
ACTIVITIES:

• individual and group counseling (2 groups composed from 12 persons each)
• spiritual counseling
• family counseling and mediation of the prisoner- family relationship
• motivational counseling
• and integration in the community by assisting and guidance activities for finding a place of work

General objectives

• to develop and to consolidate some values and pro-social behaviors.
• to motivate for a changing in the attitudes and in the infractional behavior of the young people.
• to improve the beneficiary relationship with his family and with the social systems.

Specific objectives

• To identify and to practice the resistance abilities in front of the group pressure.
• To know and to assimilate adequate strategies of managing the violent behavior by finding some positive alternatives solutions.
• To learn and to develop the abilities of solving in a positive manner the conflictual situations that may turn into violent behaviors.
• To increase the self esteem by underling the personal abilities.
• To counsel the families of the direct beneficiary with the goal of offering the prisoners support, acceptance and trust.
• To facilitate the contact between the prisoners and their families.
• To offer financial support for those who do not have resources.
• To assist and to counsel prisoners in order to find a place to work.

The team of workers that is carrying out the mentioned activities is composed from: the project coordinator, five social-workers, one pedagogue, three theologians and two engineers.
