Prison
Fellowship Romania
Projects
In 2004, under the auspices of the Reformed Church of Gilau
locality, Prison Fellowship Romania will open a bakery
at Number 1 Suceag Street.
This bakery will provide bread and pastry for the Prison Fellowship's
Centers.
In 2005, in partnership with the Schreiber Company of Denmark,
Prison Fellowship Romania will open a cabinet-making workshop.
For this workshop, at nr. 298 Oasului Street, the location of
the RuchamA Night Shelter, 28 former prisoners will be hired.
These employees will produce wine boxes, products that will be
exported to France.
In 2005, in partnership with the Hungarian Reformed Church, Prison
Fellowship Romania will inaugurate a Montessori School at
Muresului Street nr. 17 A, Cluj-Napoca.
The school, with an area of 1200 square metres, will provide
education for 300 children, native Hungarian speakers, who find
themselves in "at risk" situations and are assisted
by the Prison Fellowship Romania foundation.
The main educational goal for Prison Fellowship Romania, which
has a spiritual partnership with the Hungarian Reformed Church,
is to integrate these young people socially.
In 2005, in partnership with the Danish Balkan Mission in Denmark,
Prison Fellowship Romania will open a pig farm with a capacity
of 400 animals.
The location of this farm will be in the Nadaselu locality and
it will have an area of 4000 m2, the property of Prison Fellowship
Romania.
The Danish government will provide the necessary infrastructure
and will offer assistance for a period of two years by sending
an expert in the field and also by donating 26 pigs. The products
obtained from this pig farm will be sold commercially and offered
to the Prison Fellowship's centers.
